Head of FM and Capital Projects (Interim)

Overview

Our client is a Local Authority in South London and they require an Interim Head of Facilities Management and Capital Projects.

Reporting to the Deputy Director Finance and Property, you will lead, manage and direct the strategy and internal governance for the delivery of facilities building management (FM) and capital projects across the Council and its partner services.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and direct strategy and internal governance for FM and capital projects across the Council and partner services.
• Oversee stakeholder relationships, prioritise and guide work streams.
• Operate within a political environment, dealing with scrutiny from outside sources and influencing others as required.

Qualifications

• Experience at the senior level in a UK local authority, with a proven track record of transforming and running an FM service.
• Experience managing major projects and health & safety.
• Knowledge of, or working within, a corporate landlord model is preferred.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making and influencing skills.

Compensation & Terms

Our client is offering a rate of £695/day umbrella. The role is inside IR35 and will be a 6‑month contract. Hybrid working arrangements are available.
