Pharmacy Dispensary Assistant (Full Time / Permanent) Location: McKeagney Chemists, Edward Street and North Street, Lurgan, Co. The Role We're seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Pharmacy Dispensary Assistant to join our dispensary team. Hours: 40 hours per week over 5 days (consideration given to fewer full days) Schedule: Typically 9am6pm, Monday to Saturday (occasional rota hours may be required) You'll work alongside our experienced pharmacists, playing a vital role in ensuring an efficient, accurate, and safe dispensing service while maintaining strict patient confidentiality and high professional standards. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of prescriptions and delivery of professional pharmacy services Support the Pharmacist with dispensary tasks including managing orders, stock control, and issuing prescriptions Provide exceptional customer service on the medicines counter and throughout the pharmacy Maintain stock levels, perform general retail duties, and ensure a clean, professional environment Collect prescriptions when required Essential Requirements A genuine interest in pharmacy and dispensing Hardworking and enthusiastic approach Exceptional customer service and communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Strong attention to detail and accuracy Eligibility to work in the UK Desirable Requirements Previous dispensary experience or experience in a similar environment Good understanding of professional pharmacy services NPA Interact qualification or equivalent Dispensary Assistants qualification (or willingness to complete) What We Offer Competitive salary (dependent on experience) Four weeks holiday plus 9 bank holidays per annum Staff discount
