About the Role
Looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same?
As a Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex needs, helping them to live fulfilling lives with choice, dignity and independence.
You'll be supporting a small group of ladies who are non-verbal and attend day services during the week. Outside of this, they enjoy living active and fulfilling lives, taking part in activities such as swimming, bowling, meals out, cinema and theatre trips, visits to the seaside and exploring local attractions. You'll help them continue enjoying the activities they love while introducing new experiences and opportunities.
You'll also support with everyday living, including personal care, preparing meals, administering medication, attending health appointments and promoting health and wellbeing. The role includes supporting people with mobility needs, so you'll receive full training in safe manual handling techniques, including the use of hoists and wheelchairs.
The role includes a variety of shift patterns, including day shifts (earlies and lates), sleep-in shifts, waking nights and weekend working . Flexibility is important, as youll help provide consistent support to the people we support across a range of times and activities.
No previous experience is requiredwe'll provide all the training you need. What matters most is that you're kind, patient, reliable and enjoy building positive relationships. The people we support are looking for someone who is friendly, trustworthy, easy to get along with and who brings a sense of fun to their day.
