Programme Manager - Best Start in Life & Employment & Skills (Fixed-Term) | London Borough of Brent


Contract: Fixed-term to March 2029 (c. 2.5 years)

Start date: September

Location: Brent (hybrid) - minimum 3 days per week onsite across Brent

Salary: PO6 £58,461-£60,573


Panoramic Associates is exclusively supporting London Borough of Brent with their recruitment for an experienced Programme Manager to support delivery across two major strategic priorities: Best Start in Life and Employment & Skills.



You'll be part of an experienced programme team delivering significant change across Brent, with a real focus on improving outcomes for children, young people and families. In this role, you'll lead complex workstreams and coordinate delivery across Children's Services, Public Health and Education, working closely with internal teams and external partners. It's a hands-on delivery post - keeping multiple projects moving, managing dependencies, and ensuring governance, reporting and milestones stay on track.



Key responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of programme workstreams from plan through to implementation
  • Coordinate complex projects across multiple services and teams
  • Track milestones, risks, issues and dependencies; maintain strong programme governance
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders across the council and partner organisations
  • Produce programme reporting, plans and documentation
  • Support joined-up delivery across Best Start in Life and Employment & Skills priorities
  • Work closely with Public Health, Early Help and wider Children's Services



Criteria

  • Strong programme / project management experience
  • Proven delivery of complex transformation programmes
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at pace
  • Strong governance, planning and reporting experience
  • Experience working across organisational boundaries
  • Collaborative, solutions-focused approach
  • Knowledge of Best Start in Life and/or Employment & Skills is beneficial but not essential.
  • Relevant programme backgrounds may include- Children's Services - Early Help - Public Health - SEND - Family Hubs - Prevention - Employment & Skills
