Salaried GP - 6 sessions per week

Leith Links Medical Group is looking for a salaried GP to join the team from when we formally take over the practice contract in September 2026.

Though we are a new partnership, the partners are a group of 6 incumbent GPs who have been working together at Links for 10 years when it was run by NHS Lothian.

We are looking for 6 sessions a week to include either all day Monday or Friday but are flexible on when the other sessions are worked.

We are supported clinically by one salaried GP, 2 ANPs, a practice mental health nurse, a pharmacist, 2 practice nurses and a band 3 nurse. We also have an FY2 doctor and year 6 medical students. As a close team we meet daily for coffee mid-morning and lunch.

The practice covers a diverse patient population in the north east of the city with a growing list size of 7000, occasional home visits and free parking on site. We currently run an on the day telephone triage system with space for F2F appointments as needed and a duty doctor system working alongside this in the afternoons. We find this provides the best balance between clinician control of their workload and optimising patient access.

Salary is competitive and negotiable based on experience.
