Senior Support Worker Location: Nelson, LancashireSalary: £26,000 £34,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Support Worker to join a growing care organisation providing high-quality support to adults and children.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious care professional who is looking to develop their career further within the care sector. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of outstanding, person-centred care while working closely with senior colleagues to maintain high standards across services.The role offers excellent opportunities for professional development, further training, and progression for someone who is looking to build a long-term career within care.Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of high-quality care across adult and childrens servicesAssist with the day-to-day coordination and smooth running of servicesProvide guidance, support, and mentoring to care staffComplete and review care plans, risk assessments, and service documentationSupport quality monitoring activities and contribute to service improvementsParticipate in staff meetings, supervisions, and team development discussionsAssist with safeguarding processes and ensure concerns are reported appropriatelySupport audits, compliance checks, and the maintenance of regulatory standardsGather feedback from service users and contribute to improving care provisionWork alongside senior colleagues to ensure person-centred care remains at the heart of the serviceAssist with recruitment, staff training, and ongoing staff developmentEssential Requirements Previous experience working as a Senior Support Worker or within a similar senior care roleExperience within adult and/or childrens care servicesExperience liaising with other professionals, including social workers, professional therapists, families, and clientsGood understanding of safeguarding, care planning, and risk assessmentsMinimum Level 3 qualification in Adult Care and/or Childrens Residential CareStrong communication and organisational skillsAbility to support and motivate colleaguesGood administrative and IT skills, including completing care records and reportsAbility to work independently and manage priorities effectivelyDesirable Requirements Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or willingness to work towards thisExperience supporting audits, quality checks, or compliance activitiesA genuine ambition to progress into a more senior leadership role within careWorking Hours & Benefits Monday to Friday, 10:00am 5:30pmNo weekend working requiredNo on-call responsibilities28 days annual leaveCompetitive salary of £26,000 £34,000 depending on experience and qualificationsOngoing training and professional development supportSupport with further qualifications and career progressionOpportunity to join a growing and supportive care organisationLong-term career development opportunitiesAbout You We are looking for a dedicated and motivated care professional who takes pride in delivering excellent standards of support and making a positive difference in peoples lives.You will be confident supporting teams, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring individuals receive safe, compassionate, and person-centred support.If you are looking for a rewarding role with excellent work-life balance, career development opportunities, and the chance to progress within a supportive organisation, we would love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
