Lead Temporary Works CoordinatorSizewell C | Suffolk IP16Paying up to £90k + packageLead the delivery of critical temporary works on one of the UKs most significant infrastructure projects.A leading civil engineering contractor is looking for an experienced Lead Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to join their team working on the Sizewell C nuclear new build project in Suffolk.This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and delivery-focused Temporary Works professional to take a leading role in the management, coordination and assurance of temporary works across a major, complex construction environment.The RoleAs Lead Temporary Works Coordinator, you will take responsibility for ensuring temporary works are safely, efficiently and effectively managed throughout their lifecycle. Working closely with engineering, construction and project teams, you will provide technical leadership and ensure compliance with the contractors Temporary Works Procedures and relevant industry standards.Key responsibilities include:- Leading the temporary works coordination function across the project.
- Managing and coordinating the design, checking, approval and implementation of temporary works.
- Ensuring temporary works are planned, designed, constructed and removed safely.
- Reviewing temporary works designs, calculations and risk assessments.
- Working closely with designers, engineers, site teams and subcontractors.
- Providing technical guidance and leadership to Temporary Works Coordinators and wider project teams.
- Ensuring appropriate temporary works inspections and controls are in place.
- Maintaining accurate temporary works registers and documentation.
- Identifying potential risks and constructability issues at an early stage.
- Supporting the project team in delivering temporary works safely, efficiently and to programme.
- Promoting a strong culture of engineering excellence, safety and continuous improvement.
- Significant experience in a Temporary Works Coordinator / Senior TWC / Lead TWC role.
- Strong knowledge of temporary works design, management and assurance processes.
- Experience working on major infrastructure, civils or complex construction projects.
- A thorough understanding of relevant UK temporary works standards and procedures.
- Strong technical and commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The confidence to lead, challenge and influence project teams.
- Relevant engineering or construction qualifications.
