Studio Operations Lead

Onyx Commerce is looking for a Studio Operations Lead

Job description

About Onyx

Onyx is the agency designed for TikTok. We are founded by ex-TikTok employees and industry leaders.

There is a huge shift in the media landscape as a new generation of consumers engages with social media to research products and shape their buying decisions rather than searching in traditional channels.

Our mission is to guide brands on how they can maximise the exploding social commerce opportunity on TikTok and drive meaningful results for their business.

About The Role

Since launching in 2025, Onyx has scaled significantly. To support our next phase of growth, we are looking for a Studio Operations Manager or Lead to assume full-time operational responsibility for our TikTok social commerce Live studios.

You will drive the end-to-end planning and execution of our studio operations, setting up our social commerce Live team for client success. By maintaining rigorous operational standards, planning capacity and resource allocation and optimising scheduling, you will ensure our Live strategy and delivery team are well supported and that we deliver a seamless Live experience for clients.

You will;

  • Own the day-to-day management of Onyx Studios, in Shepherds Bush and the smooth running of the operation. This may include evenings and weekend shifts depending on scheduling
  • Work hand in hand with the TikTok Live Operations and Strategy Manager to ensure the Studios maintain high quality output and client experience.
  • Operationalise and automate client bookings, scheduling and studio resourcing across all accounts.
  • Own the resourcing plan — the right people (crew and presenters) in the right place at the right time.
  • Serve as the primary operational liaison with the Account Management team on delivery, logistics and deadlines (the operational interface, not the strategic one).
  • Drive continuous improvement of the operation — identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to processes and standards.
  • Understand, own and report on the P&L of the studio operation to agency management on an ongoing basis.
  • Support onboarding and scheduling of studio team members, and the operational side of studio expansion in the UK, Europe & USA (fit-out, kit, staffing logistics).
  • Report operational updates to leadership — capacity, bottlenecks and recommendations.

What you will bring

Onyx is an early stage business which means we are looking for people with a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit who can play a key role in helping us to create long-term client relationships, drive our business metrics, build an enviable culture and have fun along the way.

Essential skills for the role:

  • Strong operations, resourcing or production-coordination background, ideally in studio, live or broadcast environments.
  • Management of studio teams and individuals
  • Excellent organisation and stakeholder management — comfortable being the connective tissue between teams.
  • Data-comfortable: builds and runs operational reporting and uses it to improve throughput.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • An ability to move and learn fast in a start up environment

Additional skills a bonus:

  • Experience of TikTok Live Commerce or similar in a studio setting
  • Strong financial planning acumen and numbers orientated
  • European languages

What we can offer

Onyx is an entrepreneurial and innovative business operating in a pioneering sector. All of our team members can make a huge contribution at this early stage of our business growth, challenge themselves and others, work with like-minded individuals, and learn a lot in an exciting, relaxed and inclusive environment.

We offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Pension contributions
  • Profit-share bonus
  • Health Cash Plan
  • Hybrid working environment across our Shepherds Bush Studios and Shoreditch office
  • Flexible working around core hours with a focus on outcomes
  • 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
  • 2 weeks ‘work from anywhere’ allowance
  • Health and Wellness benefits
  • Home office/mobile/broadband allowance
  • Volunteer days
  • A high level of responsibility, autonomy and opportunity for growth
