Working closely with learners throughout their studies, you'll play a key role in helping them overcome barriers, build confidence and succeed both academically and personally.Based in Weybridge, Surrey this role is commutable from Ashford, Staines-upon-Thames, Sunbury-on-Thames, Feltham, Bedfont, Stanwell, Shepperton, Hounslow, Hanworth, Egham and surrounding areas.Salary: £26,592.45 FTE (Actual Salary: £22,460.39)Hours: 37 hours per week, 37 weeks per year (part-time considered for the right candidate)This LSA position is a permanent role with great benefits: Enjoy a generous holiday allowance, an excellent pension scheme, free on-site parking, staff wellbeing initiatives and employee discounts, ongoing training and professional development.The Role:As a Learning Support Assistant your responsibility will be to support students with a range of additional learning needs, helping them succeed both inside and outside the classroom. Working as part of a dedicated support team, you will:Provide 1:1 and small group support across a variety of curriculum areas (Entry Level to Level 3).Help learners develop their English, maths and study skills.Support students during examinations and assessments.Maintain accurate records of learner support and progress.You'll be a patient, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) / Support Worker/ Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with:English and Maths at Level 2 (or equivalent).An understanding of supporting learners with additional needs (SEND)An LSA/TA qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.Strong communication, IT and organisational skills.Whether you've worked as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) , Learning Mentor, Teaching Assistant /SEND TA ,or supported students on a 1:1 basis or in intervention groups we'd love to hear from you.
