This Speech & Language Teaching Assistant opportunity in Wilshire - Trowbridge is an excellent chance to gain meaningful, hands-on experience within a welcoming school while developing skills that can support a future career in Speech & Language Therapy, Educational Psychology, Teaching, Occupational Therapy or wider SEND provision. As a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant you will work alongside experienced teachers, SENCO's and Speech & Language Therapists to help children develop their communication skills, confidence and independent. This role is ideal for aspiring Speech & Language Therapists, Educational Psychologist, Teachers, SEND professionals looking to build practical experience The Role As a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant you will: Provide 1-1 and small group support for children with speech, language and communication needs Support children with Autism, Speech delays, social communication and language difficulties Support emotional regulation to helping children communication their needs effectively Adapt classroom activities to ensure children can access learning About You Compassionate, patient and approachable Passionate about supporting children with SEND A confident communicator and relationship builder Proactive, adaptable and eager to develop new skills Able to work effectively as part of a wider team What we offer This Speech & Language position provides: £85-£110 per day, depending on experience PAYE - Weekly pay Full and Part time roles starting in September 2026 This Speech & Language Teaching Assistant opportunity offers much more than classroom experience.
