The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, supporting their daily needs, and supervising junior staff. This Senior Healthcare Assistant position offers an opportunity to lead with compassion and professionalism, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all residents.

Duties includeDeliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring residents' dignity and independence are maintainedSupervise and support junior care staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadershipAssist residents with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, medication management, and meal preparationMaintain accurate documentation of care provided, including updates to care plans and incident reportsCommunicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care deliverySupport residents' emotional well-being through companionship and engaging activitiesEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control proceduresContribute to the organisation's training programmes by sharing expertise in senior care practicesExperienceAs a Senior Healthcare Assistant , you'll need: Previous experience working within a care home environment specialising in senior careProven supervising experience demonstrating leadership skills within a healthcare settingFamiliarity with creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needsStrong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and team membersCompetence in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposesValid driving licence is desirable
