Commercial Operations Manager

Entourage is looking for a Commercial Operations Manager

Job description

About Entourage

We’re a fast-growing B2B marketing agency working with some of the world’s most innovative enterprise tech brands - including Adobe, Google, AWS, SAP, and Salesforce. We design and activate high-impact marketing and event campaigns that drive real results.

The Role

This is a highly visible role that sits at the centre of the business, working closely with our CEO, sales, client services and delivery teams. You will take ownership of the commercial and operational process from initial client brief through to project mobilisation.

When a new opportunity comes into the business, you'll work with internal teams to define the scope, build pricing, create proposals, prepare statements of work, manage contractual documentation and ensure projects are successfully handed over into delivery.

You won't be responsible for generating revenue or carrying a sales target. Instead, you'll be responsible for ensuring opportunities are commercially sound, accurately scoped, profitable and operationally ready for delivery.

This is an ideal role for somebody who enjoy combining commercial thinking, project management, problem solving and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Scoping & Pricing

  • Lead the scoping and pricing of client opportunities
  • Translate client briefs into structured, costed solutions
  • Build project budgets, resource plans and commercial models
  • Work with established pricing frameworks and rate cards
  • Identify commercial risks and recommend improvements
  • Ensure projects are scoped profitably and realistically
  • Support the development of new pricing models and service offerings

Proposals & Client Documentation

  • Prepare proposals, estimates and commercial responses
  • Create and maintain Statements of Work (SoWs)
  • Review and approve SoWs produced by internal teams
  • Ensure all deliverables, assumptions, timelines and exclusions are clearly documented
  • Support client procurement and onboarding requirements where necessary

Contracts & Governance

  • Coordinate client contracts, MSAs and work orders
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with agreed commercial terms
  • Ensure all project documentation is completed before work commences
  • Maintain strong commercial governance across the business

Project Mobilisation & Operations

  • Own the transition from sales to delivery
  • Coordinate internal project setup and kick-off processes
  • Ensure resource requirements are clearly defined and communicated
  • Create structured handovers for delivery teams
  • Ensure timelines, scopes and responsibilities are understood across all stakeholders
  • Support project teams with change requests and scope adjustments

Commercial Performance

  • Monitor project profitability and commercial performance across the business to guide future decisions on pricing
  • Improve pricing consistency across the agency
  • Help develop scalable commercial processes and frameworks as the business continues to grow

About You

We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, analytically strong, highly organised and comfortable operating in a fast-paced agency environment. You enjoy bringing structure to complexity and are equally comfortable building a commercial model, reviewing a contract, speaking with a client or coordinating internal teams.

Essential Experience

  • 3-6 years' experience in a commercial, operations, agency, consulting or project management role
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling capability
  • Experience preparing commercial proposals and scopes of work
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders and clients
  • Self-starter with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset

Desirable Experience

  • Agency experience
  • B2B marketing, events or professional services background
  • Experience working with Statements of Work, contracts and procurement processes
  • Resource planning and project mobilisation experience
  • Familiarity with CRM, project management and financial systems

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 12 months you will:

  • Take ownership of the majority of project scoping and pricing activities
  • Significantly reduce the time required from senior leadership to support proposals and commercial documentation
  • Improve consistency across pricing, SoWs and project setup processes
  • Create a seamless handover from sales to delivery
  • Help improve project profitability and reduce scope creep
  • Become a trusted commercial advisor to teams across the business
