Chef – Full Time

Caffe Monza Greenock

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Chef to join our busy kitchen team at Caffe Monza Greenock.

Our menu includes freshly prepared breakfasts, brunch dishes, burgers, pasta, sandwiches and seasonal specials. We need someone who can work confidently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistently high standards.

The role includes:

• Preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard
• Following recipes, portion sizes and presentation guidelines
• Completing food preparation before and during service
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen
• Following food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures
• Monitoring stock and reducing unnecessary waste
• Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
• Supporting the development of new dishes and specials

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience in a busy café, restaurant or similar kitchen
• Be confident working independently and as part of a team
• Remain organised and calm during busy services
• Have good knowledge of food hygiene and allergen procedures
• Be reliable, punctual and available to work weekends
• Take pride in food quality, presentation and cleanliness

This is a full-time position working five days per week. Weekday shifts may be around six hours, with longer shifts generally required at weekends. As we are a daytime café, there are no late-night finishes.

Rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience and will be discussed following an interview and trial shift.
