Bay ViewSenior Residential Support WorkerContract: Full Time, PermanentHours: 40 hours per weekResponsible to: Registered ManagerLocation: Heysham, MorecambeSalary: £27,750.53 with the potential to earn up to £34,470.53 with sleep-in shiftsWe are looking for a dynamic and inspirational Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our established residential team at Bay View. Based in one of our family-style children's homes in Heysham, Morecambe, you'll support up to four young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, helping them thrive in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. Our homes are rated Outstanding or Good by Ofsted, and you'll play a key role in maintaining these high standards.
Main Purpose of the RoleDeliver high-quality care and support to children and young people within the homeHelp achieve the best outcomes for each child through effective care planning, key work sessions and risk assessmentsProvide leadership and guidance to support best practice in childcareEnsure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company policiesPromote Bay View's values and contribute to the continuous improvement of care standardsSupport regulatory requirements, including Regulation 44 visitsEssential CriteriaIf you do not already hold the required qualification, you will be expected to undertake and complete a relevant Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children and Young People or Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship within two yearsKnowledge of the Children Act 1989 and accompanying guidance and regulations, the Care Standards Act 2000 and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015A full UK driving licenceBenefitsCompetitive salary plus up to £6,720 in sleep-in payments, typically based on 6-8 sleep-ins per month at £70 per sleep-inRegular supervisionsCompany pensionAccess to our Exchange Employee Discount SchemeAccess to wellbeing programmes via our Exchange ProvisionComprehensive training followed by an ongoing CPD programmeOpportunities for progressionBay View is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates.
