Support Worker Complex Care

We are looking for caring, reliable, and compassionate Support Workers to join a dedicated team supporting an adult with complex care needs in their own home in Wickford, Essex.

About the Client:
You will be supporting an adult who:
Is deaf in both ears and communicates by lip reading, so clear face-to-face communication is essential.
Has cerebral palsy, a spinal cord injury, osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bones), and diet-controlled borderline diabetes.
Requires ongoing monitoring of skin integrity due to a recurring leg wound.
Uses an electric wheelchair and requires hoist transfers.
Has a catheter that requires routine care, including bladder washouts.
Has access to a physiotherapy room and benefits from gentle encouragement and motivation to complete exercises.

Getting out and about in the community
Working Hours:
Day Shifts, 8am 8pm
Day/Sleep 08:00-11pm, followed by a sleep in shift 11pm 8am) (Paid at sleep night rate)
Waking Nights - 8pm-8am
Day shifts are worked as double-handed care (2:1 support) .
In this role, youll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.
What youll have :
A caring, patient, and compassionate nature.
Excellent communication skills, including speaking clearly to support lip reading.
Experience in complex care is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.
Confidence working as part of a two-person team.
A full UK driving licence (desirable)
