Job description
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust
Deputy Network Pharmacy Director (Pharmacist)
The closing date is 23 September 2026
Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to recruit an experienced clinical pharmacist, with previous experience in mental health and previous management/leadership or mentorship experience or qualities for a fixed term cover working across the Trust's Mental Health Rehabilitation Services and the forensic services.
The rehabilitation service includes senior oversight of Wesham Rehabilitation Centre, a 26 bedded male unit for people who have been in hospital and need some support to regain skills and confidence with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning and looking after their own health and wellbeing before discharge to community living. The role also requires providing support to Out of Area placements who host LSCFT rehabilitation patients, helping with expert medicines advice and collaborative working with the multidisciplinary team and supporting service users and carers as necessary.
Main duties of the job
The role requires the successful applicant to provide clinical support and cover dependent on the needs of the service, as well as management and mentorship of pharmacists within the team. How this is divided is subject to negotiation and any additional mileage incurred outside of the usual home-base commute will be remunerated accordingly. Flexible working and potential for hybrid roles will also be considered. This is a wonderful opportunity to be able to work both clinically and operationally and offers a chance for development opportunities in the future.
