We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and resilient graduate to join a welcoming primary school in Chelmsford as a SEND Teaching Assistant from September, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD and SEMH.
About this SEND Teaching Assistant role
Gain valuable school-based experience supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs.
Provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils access learning and develop their confidence and independence.
Work closely with experienced teachers, SENDCOs and external professionals.
Develop practical experience in behaviour support, communication strategies and personalised learning.
Excellent opportunity for graduates considering careers in education, psychology, therapy or social care.
We are looking for graduates who
Have experience working with children or young people through tutoring, mentoring, youth work, coaching, care or voluntary work.
Are patient, proactive and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
Have strong communication skills and the resilience to manage challenging situations.
Want to build long-term experience within a primary school environment.
Can commit full-time from September and are available to trial immediately.
