Trainee Operations Coordinator

Job description

Some people naturally notice what needs to happen next. They keep track of the details, bring order to moving priorities and make sure others have the information they need. If that sounds like you, the Trainee Operations Coordinator role offers a practical route into operations, planning and team coordination.

Sage is looking for someone who wants to understand how a campaign runs from preparation through to reporting. You do not need previous operations experience. What matters is that you are organised, dependable and willing to learn how everyday decisions affect the wider team.

This is a full-time, on-site position working Monday to Friday. The role offers a competitive base salary, negotiable according to experience, plus performance-based incentives.

What the role involves

You will support the daily organisation of campaign activity. This includes checking that plans are clear, information is current and agreed actions are followed through. You will work with colleagues across different responsibilities, so clear communication will be as important as keeping accurate records.

The role also includes face-to-face customer engagement. This gives you a practical understanding of the campaign before you begin contributing to wider planning, reporting and process improvements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing daily plans and confirming priorities.
  • Organising campaign information and supporting materials.
  • Maintaining accurate activity and quality records.
  • Following up agreed actions and sharing progress updates.
  • Escalating customer or process issues to the appropriate person.
  • Identifying recurring problems that may require a better process.
  • Supporting briefings and onboarding activity as your knowledge develops.

How you will develop

Training begins with the foundations of campaign delivery. You will learn how activity is planned, how results are measured and how managers use information to make decisions. As your confidence grows, you may contribute to internal reviews, help prepare team updates and support improvements to handovers or reporting.

You will also gain exposure to areas such as quality assurance, compliance, team capacity and basic forecasting. Broader responsibility develops through consistent performance, sound judgement and a clear understanding of the operation.

What will help you succeed

This role suits someone who keeps commitments, communicates early when priorities change and checks facts before passing information on. You should be comfortable working with straightforward performance figures and receiving practical feedback.

Graduates and non-graduates are welcome. Useful experience may come from administration, logistics, hospitality, customer service, events, education or any setting where you helped people and tasks come together on time.

If you are ready to build practical operations experience and develop within a growing business, apply through LinkedIn with your current CV.
