HGV Class 1 Night Driver

Monday to Friday | 16:0018:00 Starts | Up to £18.00 per hour PAYE

Essential Workforce is currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Driver for a temp-to-perm opportunity with a well-established transport and logistics operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Class 1 Driver looking for consistent Monday-to-Friday night work, regular start times and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

The Role

You will be completing daily night deliveries to and from pallet network hubs, operating a modern Class 1 vehicle.

Duties will include:

• Daily deliveries and collections to and from pallet hubs
• Predominantly trunking and hub-to-hub work
• Monday to Friday working week
• Start times between 16:00 and 18:00
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Completing all required paperwork and delivery documentation
• Ensuring loads are secure before departure
• Maintaining excellent standards of driving and professionalism
• Complying with Drivers' Hours, Working Time and Tachograph regulations

What We're Looking For

Applicants should hold:

• Valid HGV Class 1 / Category C+E licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of UK Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations
• Previous Class 1 experience preferred
• Pallet network or trunking experience advantageous
• Reliable and professional approach to work
