Our Lightwood home supports three adults in Worsley, Greater Manchester, each with their own individual personality, routines, interests and ways of communicating. The people we support enjoy leading active, varied and meaningful lives, with plenty of opportunities to get out into the community and enjoy the things they love. Activities may include visits to cafés, parks, farms, museums, the beach, swimming, the gym, sensory sessions, church, shopping and nature walks, as well as enjoying music, technology and relaxing at home. They also enjoy developing their independence through everyday tasks, spending time with family and friends, and trying new experiences with the encouragement of a supportive team.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will be leading the team whilst you are on shift, acting as a role model to deliver the highest standards of care. You will develop strong relationships with the team and the people we support to ensure the best possible outcomes.
You will get to know each individual, find out their interests, and support them to achieve the small and big steps in reaching their goals and living the life they choose. Each day will be completely different, but you will be there to guide them through all of life's milestones and challenges.
What we're looking for
Level 2 Adult Care Worker Qualification or equivalent is desirable.
Previous experience in a care role in a senior/team leader/supervisory capacity.
Be committed to continuous improvement of the home and the team.
A passion for person-centred care.
Have a positive and proactive mindset.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Full UK Driving Licence is preferred.
