The opportunity

We're looking for an ambitious, commercially minded and dependable Chinese Senior Consultant who is ready to take ownership of projects and workstreams while continuing to develop as a communications professional.

You'll work across PR, Chinese social media, influencer marketing, content and events, while building trusted relationships with clients, media, influencers and business partners.

This isn't a role where you'll simply be given a list of tasks to complete. We want someone who is curious about our clients' businesses, understands why we're doing the work, contributes ideas and increasingly becomes someone clients and colleagues can rely on.

You'll also have the opportunity to support and guide junior colleagues as you progress.

What you'll be doing

Client & project management

  • Independently manage smaller client accounts, projects and workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery, strong organisation and measurable results
  • Build trusted relationships with clients through professionalism, responsiveness and sound judgement
  • Develop a strong understanding of clients' businesses, commercial objectives and target audiences
  • Present ideas and recommendations confidently to clients and colleagues

Chinese PR & content

  • Develop and draft Chinese press releases, articles, social content, presentations and other campaign materials
  • Build relationships with relevant Chinese media and support media outreach
  • Ensure Chinese-language communications are culturally relevant, persuasive and written to a consistently high standard
  • Use AI intelligently as a professional tool while retaining strong independent writing, editing and critical-thinking skills

Chinese social media & influencers

  • Support and manage client channels across platforms including RedNote (Xiaohongshu) and WeChat
  • Develop content ideas and contribute to Chinese digital and social strategies
  • Identify and coordinate appropriate Chinese influencers and KOLs
  • Manage influencer campaigns from briefing and negotiation through to delivery and reporting

Campaigns & events

  • Contribute creative ideas to integrated campaigns
  • Support the planning and delivery of client events and activations
  • Coordinate suppliers, influencers and external partners and negotiate effectively where required

Team contribution

  • Brief and support junior colleagues, providing clear direction and constructive feedback
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the business
  • Take ownership when problems arise rather than simply escalating them
  • Contribute positively to the culture and continued growth of 11K

We'd love to meet you if you have:

  • Native-level Mandarin Chinese and excellent professional English, both written and spoken
  • 3+ years' relevant experience in PR, communications, social media, influencer marketing or digital marketing, agency-side or in-house
  • Excellent Chinese copywriting and editing skills
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese social media, digital culture and current communications trends
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines, projects or client workstreams
  • Confidence communicating with clients and presenting ideas
  • Strong attention to detail and professional judgement
  • A proactive mindset and genuine sense of ownership
  • Experience with Xiumi, Canva, CapCut, visual content production and AI tools would be an advantage, but we don't expect one person to be brilliant at everything.
  • More importantly, we're looking for someone who shares the values that guide how we work: Integrity • Resilience • Collaboration • Enthusiasm • Creativity
