Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Mainstream & Specialist Provisions

Location: Liverpool, Merseyside

Pay Rate: £85 £110 per day

Contract Type: Full-time, Part-time, Flexible Daily Cover & Long-term Roles

Are you a compassionate, resilient Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in Liverpool schools?

GAC Education is seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of primary schools, secondary academies, Resourced Provisions, and specialist SEN settings throughout North and South Liverpool.

From supporting 1:1 intervention for pupils with Autism (ASC) and ADHD in mainstream classrooms, to facilitating small-group sensory activities in specialist SEN provisions, this role offers the opportunity to help children overcome barriers to learning and build real confidence every day.

What the Role Involves

• Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Implementing visual schedules, sensory regulation routines, and positive behaviour management strategies.
• Supporting pupils with communication tools, including PECS, Makaton, and AAC devices.
• Working closely with SENCOs, class teachers, and external specialists to create a safe, structured learning space.
