SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: South Yorkshire
Areas: Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley & Doncaster
Contract Type: Temporary / Part-Time / Full-Time

Are you a SEND Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity?

We are currently looking to speak with experienced SEND Teaching Assistants across South Yorkshire, with a range of opportunities available in Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster.

We work with a wide range of primary schools and regularly have opportunities for 1:1 SEND support, small-group support and wider classroom support, with both short-term and longer-term placements available.

The roles may involve:

• Providing 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with SEND
• Supporting pupils to access learning and the wider curriculum
• Helping children develop their confidence, independence and social skills
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Working closely with class teachers and SENDCos
• Adapting support to meet individual pupils' needs

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Have previous experience working within a school or educational setting
• Are confident providing 1:1 support
• Are patient, caring and consistent
• Have good communication and behaviour management skills
• Are reliable, adaptable and passionate about supporting pupils
