Senior Healthcare Assistant | Norwich and Wider Areas | Flexible Shifts | £17£23 per hour

Advantage Angels is looking for an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our agency care team, working across care homes in Norwich and the surrounding area. This is a role for someone who leads by example someone residents trust and junior staff look to for guidance delivering compassionate, person-centred care while helping keep the home running smoothly on shift.

Pay ranges from £17£23 per hour depending on shift pattern, with enhanced rates for weekends and bank holidays.

What you'll be doing

• Delivering personalised care in line with individual care plans, protecting residents' dignity and independence at every step
• Leading and supporting junior care staff on shift, setting the tone for a positive, well-run team
• Assisting residents with mobility, personal hygiene, medication support, and meals
• Keeping accurate, up-to-date records care plan updates, incident reports, handover notes
• Acting as a key point of contact between residents, families, and the wider care team
• Supporting residents' emotional wellbeing through genuine companionship and meaningful activities
• Upholding health and safety standards, including infection control
• Sharing your expertise to help train and develop the wider care team

What we're looking for

• Experience working in a care home setting, specifically in senior/supervisory care
• Proven leadership experience within a healthcare environment
• Confidence building and applying individual care plans
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, and colleagues
• Comfortable using IT systems for documentation and reporting
• A full driving licence is desirable but not essential
