Job description
- Location: Middle East, specific country and city shared under NDA
- Contract: Full-time, live-in, renewable every 12 months
- Working pattern: Calendar-driven around the full training cycle, including recovery and off-season; shifts at short notice
- Travel: International travel with the Principal and family
- Confidentiality: Strictly confidential; NDA required before further details
Oplu is leading the search for a Pro-Performance Chef to join a high-profile private household in the Middle East. This is a newly created role within a well-established, discreet household team, supporting the Principals' and family's training and nutrition at the highest level.
The Pro-Performance Chef will take full ownership of nutrition delivery across the year for all family members, translating periodised, macronutrient-targeted plans set by a nutritionist or sports scientist into precise daily meals, both at home and on the road.
This is not a private chef role with a nutrition badge on it. It is a performance-chef position structured around the Principals' and family's advanced training schedules, accountable for translating those plans into daily execution on the plate.
The role
- Design daily menus to macronutrient targets, adjusted across training phases and the full training cycle.
- Prepare recovery-focused meals supporting muscle repair, glycogen replenishment, inflammation reduction, and sleep quality.
- Source high-quality proteins, complex carbohydrates, seasonal produce, and functional ingredients, and manage specialist suppliers at home and in travel destinations.
- Travel internationally with the Principal and family, often at short notice, researching local sourcing and kitchen facilities in advance.
- Maintain accurate daily food and macronutrient records.
- Apply cost discipline without compromising standards.
Who you are
- Proven Private Chef or Performance Chef in an elite-private, professional sports, or comparable high-performance household environment.
- Strong working knowledge of sports nutrition and periodised menu delivery across training phases.
- Formal nutrition training welcome, but not essential.
- Comfortable with international travel at short notice.
- Discreet, calm under pressure, and comfortable operating as part of a wider team rather than as a solo lead.
- Comfortable signing an NDA before further details are shared.
Apply confidentially via Oplu. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
