Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Mental Health Rehabilitation

Location: London

Role: Permanent

Salary: £50,000

Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a specialist Level 2 rehabilitation hospital in London.

The service supports men and women with enduring mental health needs, including individuals stepping down from secure services, acute hospitals, or prison settings.

The Role

You will provide high-quality, recovery-focused occupational therapy, supporting service users to develop independence, meaningful routines, functional skills, and community living skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a specialist occupational therapy caseload
• Complete comprehensive occupational and functional assessments
• Develop and deliver individualised rehabilitation programmes
• Support service users with daily living and independent living skills
• Facilitate therapeutic activities and interventions
• Support community reintegration and vocational development
• Contribute to care plans, CPA reviews, risk assessments and MDT meetings
• Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate clinical records and outcome measures
• Promote recovery and meaningful occupational engagement

Requirements

✔ HCPC registered Occupational Therapist

✔ Experience within mental health, rehabilitation or complex care

✔ Strong understanding of recovery-focused occupational therapy

✔ Excellent clinical reasoning and assessment skills

✔ Strong communication and organisational skills

✔ Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
