HIGH NEEDS TEACHING ASSISTANTLocation: GravesendHours: Full-time, Monday-FridaySetting: Mainstream Primary SchoolWe are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated High Needs Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the Gravesend area .The successful candidate will be supporting pupils with additional and complex needs , helping them to access learning, develop their independence and manage behaviour in a positive and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have: Previous SEN experience , ideally within a primary school settingExperience supporting children with high or complex needsStrong behaviour management skillsA calm, patient and nurturing approachConfidence working within a mainstream primary schoolThe ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staffRelevant experience and/or qualifications in education, childcare or SENThe ability to work effectively as part of a wider school teamDriving is preferred , although candidates who are able to reliably travel by public transport will also be consideredSafeguarding Requirements: An enhanced DBS is requiredCandidates with a suitable DBS already in place are welcome to applyIf you do not currently have a DBS, you must be willing to apply for a new enhanced DBSReferences and appropriate safeguarding checks will be completedPLEASE CONTACT YASMINE PITMAN AT ACADEMICS ROCHESTER WITH UPDATED CVS IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A NEW ROLESalary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
