Class 2 HGV Drivers Bidfood,Lee Mill, PL21 9EW

Pay: £21.36 per hour, inc holiday
Shift start times:05.30 am until 14.00 pm
Shift length: Typically 810 hours
Working days: Support may be required across all seven days, including weekends
Contract: Agency work, subject to client requirements

Romax Recruitment is looking to register reliable Class 2 HGV drivers for upcoming opportunities supporting Bidfoods Worthing operation. There is a potential requirement for 510 drivers, primarily covering hub collections.

Support requirements are expected to be confirmed with one weeks notice.

Key responsibilities

• Complete hub collections and associated Class 2 driving duties safely and efficiently.

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.

• Complete collection and delivery paperwork accurately.

• Comply with drivers hours, working time and tachograph requirements.

• Follow site procedures and safe working practices, ensuring loads are secure before departure.

• Assist with loading when required; vehicles are generally preloaded, although occasional loading may be necessary.

• Work professionally with transport teams, warehouse staff and customers.

Essential requirements

• A valid driving licence with Category C entitlement for Class 2 vehicles.

• A valid Driver CPC qualification and Driver Qualification Card.

• A valid digital tachograph driver card.
