Graduate EYFS Teaching Assistant – Graduate Opportunity

Location: Tower Hamlets

Are you a graduate with previous Early Years experience, looking to gain valuable classroom experience within an outstanding primary school?

An Outstanding primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a Graduate EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children across Nursery and Reception. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience whilst supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

You will work closely with the class teacher to support engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with classroom routines and help create a positive learning environment.

Graduate EYFS Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities: Supporting Nursery and Reception pupils with early learning and play-based activities
Delivering 1:1 and small group support across phonics, literacy and early numeracy
Supporting children's communication, language and social development
Assisting with classroom routines, behaviour management and resources
Supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning
Working alongside the class teacher to support pupil progress
Graduate EYFS Teaching Assistant – We're Looking For: A recent graduate with a 2:1 or First-Class degree – any subject considered
Previous experience working with EYFS-aged children is essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine interest in Early Years education
A proactive, patient and enthusiastic approach
Paediatric First Aid training is desirable, but not essential
Read Write Inc. Training or experience is desirable, but not essential
This role would suit a graduate considering a career as a Primary Teacher, Early Years Teacher or Early Years Specialist , looking to build classroom experience before pursuing teacher training.
