Complex Needs Support Worker (Day Resource Services)

What you'll be doing
You'll support people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex health needs in our Margate and Ramsgate hubs, on a 2:1 basis. This includes individuals who may express their needs through challenging behaviour.
Your role combines one-to-one support with group activities. You'll plan engaging sessions, facilitate activities, and work directly with people to achieve their personal goals.
The role includes occasional evening work in our range of clubs. We welcome flexible candidates with good availability.
What you'll need
Care certificate
NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, or be willing to work towards)
Experience in a care/support role would be advantageous
Experience of implementing strategies for individuals who express their frustrations and needs through challenging behaviour, or be willing to learn these skills
Compassionate and empathetic approach
The ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with vulnerable people and their families
Competent IT skills
An interest in people and a commitment to helping others
