Build positive relationships with pupils who may find school challenging.
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
Encourage engagement with lessons and practical activities.
Help pupils develop confidence, boundaries and social skills.
Work closely with teaching staff to provide consistent support.
Experience in SEMH, youth work, residential care, mentoring or behaviour support would be beneficial.
You'll need patience, resilience and the ability to remain calm when things don't go to plan. The right person will understand that progress often starts with trust.
