Level 3 Teaching Assistant - Bridgend & Cowbridge

Are you a qualified and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? Academics are currently recruiting Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work across a wide variety of primary schools in Bridgend and Cowbridge.

We work closely with local primary schools who regularly come to us looking for experienced and qualified TAs for both ad-hoc and long-term opportunities.

The Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development
• Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging activities
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive relationships
• Supporting classroom routines and day-to-day activities
• Assisting with targeted interventions
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

We're Looking For

To be considered for these Level 3 Teaching Assistant opportunities, you must have:

• A Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification - essential
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Flexibility to work across different school environments
• Availability for ad-hoc or long-term opportunities

Desirable Training

Additional qualifications and training are highly desirable, including:

• ELSA
• Team Teach
• Behaviour management training
• ALN/SEN-related training
• Other relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or training

Pay & Requirements

• £93 per day
• Potential increases depending on the client rate
• Enhanced DBS - required
• EWC registration - required
• Relevant safeguarding and compliance checks
