Dementia Support Worker (4 on 4 off)

We are looking for people who are passionate about working with people who are living with Dementia in North Somerset.
Access Your Care is a leading domiciliary care provider in North Somerset with a passion for helping others. We are growing our Dementia specialist team and are looking for kind, empathetic individuals who really want to make a difference to the lives of others.
This role is working on a 4 on 4 off rota with working hours being 07:00-14:00 and then 17:00-22:00.
As a Dementia Care Assistant you will be working with clients in their own homes, supporting with a range of tasks including:

• Assisting clients with personal care.
• Supporting clients with daily activities.
• Administering medication.
• Nutrition and hydration support.
• Using specialist equipment and correct manual handling procedures to assist clients who are less mobile.
• Offering companionship, support and a friendly ear, giving clients social nourishment.

This role covers the entirety of North Somerset, so a full driving licence and your own vehicle is required.
Whether you're an experienced carer or new to the sector we would like to hear from you. We will support you throughout your career with:

• A weeklong paid classroom-based induction, giving you the knowledge you need for the role.
• An extensive shadowing period of 2-3 weeks with a senior carer, to put what you've learned into practice.
• Ongoing support and yearly refresher training.
• Regular team meetings and updates.
• Fully funded qualifications up to level 5.

• Block paid shifts (paid an hourly rate from the start to the end of your shift including when travelling) something rarely seen in the social care sector. Worth up to £29,047.20 per year if working 4 on 4 off. -Double pay on Bank holidays, paid at £26.60 per hour
