Level 3 Teaching Assistant - Barry & Vale of Glamorgan

Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant with experience working in primary schools?

Academics is currently recruiting experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Barry and the wider Vale of Glamorgan.

We work closely with local schools and have opportunities available for reliable, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development. Whether you're looking for flexible supply work or a longer-term placement, we'd love to hear from you!

The Role

Supporting pupils across primary school year groups, from Nursery to Year 6.

Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.

Providing targeted support to help pupils access learning and reach their potential.

Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development.

Helping maintain a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.

We're Looking For

A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or an equivalent relevant qualification.

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school.

A patient, caring and adaptable approach.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A genuine passion for supporting children's education.

Requirements

Enhanced DBS certificate.

Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
