Position: Level 3 CACHE SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £92.56 - £110 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)
Start Date: ASAP or a date that suits you

About the Role

As a Level 3 CACHE SEN Teaching Assistant in Rotherham, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs in a structured, nurturing specialist school environment. Pupils may have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, communication difficulties or complex learning needs. The role involves helping pupils access learning, develop independence and build confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Providing one-to-one and small-group support tailored to pupils' individual needs

Supporting learning, communication, social skills and independence

Helping pupils manage emotions and follow consistent routines

Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment

Working with teachers and other professionals to follow individual support plans

Candidate Requirements

A Level 3 CACHE Teaching Assistant qualification is essential

Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ideally within a specialist school

A patient, caring and adaptable approach

Confidence supporting pupils with varied learning, communication and behavioural needs

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
