HGV Class 1 Driver – Tramping – Aston, Birmingham – £26.20 Per Hour + £40 Night-Out Allowance
People Solutions are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Aston, Birmingham .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, regular ongoing work and additional night-out allowances. The role involves curtain-side deliveries with very minimal handball, making it ideal for drivers looking for a predominantly driving-focused position.

• 2:00am starts
• Tramping work with overnight stays required

Rates of Pay

• £26.20 per hour
• £40 night-out allowance per qualifying night out

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:

• Driving an HGV Class 1 vehicle with a curtain-side trailer
• Completing deliveries as part of a tramping operation
• Working shifts with overnight stays required
• Carrying out deliveries with very minimal handball
• Completing vehicle safety checks before and after journeys
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Completing relevant paperwork and delivery documentation
• Complying with drivers' hours regulations and road safety requirements

Essential Skills

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
• Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience
• Professional and reliable approach to work
• Willingness to stay away overnight
• Good understanding of drivers' hours regulations
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules

Training Provided
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
