Hays Education are working in partnership with a Specialist SEND School who are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupi l with a diagnosis of FASD , ADHD , and a history of early trauma . This is a highly rewarding role where you will play a key part in supporting the pupil's emotional development and engagement in school life.
The pupil is described as a delightful individual who benefits from a calm, consistent, and empathetic approach, alongside clear and firm boundaries to help them feel safe and understood.

Location: Disley, SK12 Start Date: ASAP Rate: Up to £120/day Contract: Temporary until end of academic year
What You'll Be Doing

Providing tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day

Supporting the pupil with emotional regulation and behaviour

Building a strong, trusting relationship

Helping the pupil access learning in a way that meets their individual needs

What We're Looking For

Experience working within a KS2 setting

A strong understanding of SEND, particularly SEMH and trauma-informed approaches

A patient, resilient, and adaptable attitude

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Ability to provide a consistent and nurturing presence

Relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent experience

Please Note: Due to the rural location, a full driving license & own transport is essential.
