HGV Class 2 Driver – Curtain Side – Tyseley, Birmingham – £17 Per Hour
People Solutions are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Tyseley, Birmingham .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, a minimum of eight hours paid per shift and straightforward curtain-side delivery work with minimal handball. Most unloading is completed using a forklift truck, with drivers assisting where required.
This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Curtain-Side Delivery Driver.
£17.00 Per Hour | 5am–7am Starts | Minimum 8 Hours Paid | Curtain-Side Deliveries | Minimal Handball
Shifts

• Start times between 05:00 and 07:00
• Minimum eight hours paid per shift
• 45-minute break deducted
• Between two and four deliveries per shift, depending on distance

Rates of Pay

• £17.00 per hour
• Minimum eight hours paid per shift

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

• Driving an HGV Class 2 curtain-side vehicle
• Completing between two and four deliveries per shift
• Assisting with loading where required
• Opening and closing trailer curtains safely
• Supporting unloading where necessary
• Completing daily vehicle safety checks
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Completing relevant delivery paperwork and documentation
• Following drivers' hours regulations and road safety requirements

Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
• Minimum 12 months' HGV driving experience
• No more than six points on your driving licence
