POSITION
SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Mornings only)

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
Location - Croydon, South London
Position - SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Type of work - Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil, implementing EHCP targets, supporting communication and learning, liaising with class staff and SENCO
Position start date - Monday 2nd November 2027
Duration - Until end of the academic year July 2027
Contract type - Temporary / Full Time
Rate of pay - Competitive, depending on experience and qualifications
Hours - 8:30am - 12:15pm, Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant supporting primary-aged pupils on a 1:1 basis.
Strong understanding of supporting children with additional needs, including communication and interaction difficulties.
Experience working with pupils who have an EHCP.
DBS on the Update Service
Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and external professionals.
Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour support skills.
Patient, resilient, nurturing, and committed to helping children achieve their individual targets.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting pupil wellbeing.
Relevant SEN, Teaching Assistant or child development qualifications are highly desirable.
Passionate about supporting children with additional needs to access learning, develop communication skills, and thrive both academically and socially.
