An education hub in Bar Hill, Cambridge, needs SEN Tutors and Teaching Assistants to start as soon as possible on an ongoing basis. Hours are 9am – 3pm, Monday to Friday, and the hub sits just off the A14. Qualified Teacher Status is not needed.

About the Hub

This is a small, personalised learning provision close to Cambridge. Low staff-to-learner ratios mean you get to know each young person well and can build sessions that suit how they learn.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Working one-to-one and in small groups to deliver planned learning
  • Tutoring young people through their work and checking understanding as you go
  • Supporting learners with SEMH needs to manage their day and stay engaged
  • Adjusting tasks and materials to fit individual learning plans
  • Keeping simple records of progress and passing them to the team

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with young people – in a school, as a tutor, in youth work or similar
  • SEN or SEMH experience is an advantage but not essential
  • A driving licence and your own car, as the location is hard to reach without one
  • You do not need to be a qualified teacher

We'd like to hear from patient, encouraging people who stay calm and keep a consistent approach with young people who need extra support.
