Position: Teaching Assistant

Location: Trafford, Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM, Monday to Friday
Salary: £14.25 - £16.65 per hour

Reeson Education is working with a specialist SEN primary school in Trafford to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support EYFS and KS1 pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, sensory processing difficulties, non-verbal communication, MLD, and PMLD . This is a full-time, long-term role in a highly inclusive and supportive environment .

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:

Provide classroom support as a teaching assistant to EYFS and KS1 pupils with varied and complex needs

Work 1:1 and in small groups to support communication, social skills, and engagement

Assist with sensory activities and therapeutic interventions

Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment

Work collaboratively as a teaching assistant with teachers, therapists, and families to meet each child's individual needs

Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:

Passion for supporting children with special educational needs

Experience working with SEN pupils in any capacity (desirable but not essential)

A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach

Willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to a long-term teaching assistant role in a specialist school setting
